A novel electromagnetic transparent high-band (HB) antenna can be achieved by loading dumbbell-like slots, U-shaped slots, square-loop slots, and straight slots on the patch dipoles. The HB antenna operates in the band of 1.71-2.69 GHz (VSWR < 1.5), and the dipoles achieve low-scattering property in the band of 3.4-3.8 GHz. In the design, the impedance matching of HB antenna is very good even scattering suppression technique is applied on the dipoles. The loading of U-shaped slots introduces an additional resonance point, which can alleviate the impedance problem caused by the technique. Besides, a dual-band antenna array has been designed and fabricated for validation. Both simulated and measured results show that the HB antenna has a good performance on electromagnetic transparency.
