By the influence of globalization, how to help Chinese-origin children's Chinese maintenance and bilingual development has become a great concern for overseas Chinese communities, in particular for Chi-nese parents. Taking Chinese-origin children in Britain as an example, Chinese parents can play social-cul-tural, linguistic and cognitive roles. In terms of social-cultural role, parents should create harmonious fam-ily atmosphere, and communicate with local British schools actively, on the basis of enhancing Chinese-ori-gin children's identification with Chinese language and cu take consistent and lively strategies, and help deve children to firmly develop gual development. vocabulary teaching strategies with e.
