Current trends on In2O3 based heterojunction photocatalytic systems in photocatalytic application
摘要
In the past several decades, photocatalysis has shown great potential in solving energy and environmental problems, and indium oxide as a semiconductor photocatalyst has received much attention. Many photocatalyst systems based on indium oxide heterojunctions have been designed to develop new photocatalysts with even better performance. However, relatively few research reviews have focused on indium oxide-based photocatalytic systems. This paper discusses the charge transfer mechanisms in different heterostructures: type-II; allsolid-state Z-scheme; direct Z-scheme, S-scheme, and p-n heterojunctions, etc. Later, the recent research progress of different indium oxide-based heterojunction photocatalytic systems is reviewed, the role of indium oxide in different heterojunction photocatalytic systems is analyzed, and the characteristics of various heterojunction photocatalytic systems are compared, and the reasons limiting the photocatalytic applications of indium oxidebased materials are discussed. Finally, the future expectations and challenges of indium oxide-based materials are presented
