摘要
The author tells about his experiences of architectural education gained during his university studies based on his memories and kept notes. He commemorates his former teachers with a good feeling: about the lecturers of antiquity Lóránt Friedrich and György Kardos, about the teacher of medieval architecture Jeno Rados, then about the lecturer of the architecture of modern ages Iván Kotsis. The author lectured, and wrote his books, lecture notes as well as his studies on contemporary architecture at the Institute of History and Theory of Architecture between 1972-2000. He depicted the portraits of his predecessor in professorship Máté Major and of his other deceased colleagues - Frigyes Pogány, Gyula Hajnóczi, Zoltán Szentkirályi, Elemér Révhelyi, László Vargha, Margit B. Szucs, Erzsébet Cs. Tompos, Iva Kissné Balázs, Alajos Sódor, Mihály Zádor, Tamás Guzsik, Ferenc Merényi and Gábor Hajnóczi with discretion and intimate outlines, that is, with a particular respect for the outstanding analysts of approaches and world views manifested in architectural space. The study is completed with a selection of writings of the lecturers and researchers of the Institute (later Department).
