Received Signal Strength (RSS) measurements are widely proposed to apply in the wireless localization due to the low cost in software and hardware implementations. The localization refinement for multiple node is introduced when the transmit powers of anchor nodes are unknown. First the source positions along with the transmit powers are estimated with linear estimator. Then the localization refinement improves the positioning accuracy by using an addition of source position. The corresponding Cram'errao Lower Bound (CRLB) of the problem is derived. The simulations demonstrate that the performance of localization can attain the approximate CRLB accuracy at sufficiently small noise conditions. When perfect knowledge of the Path Loss Exponent (PLE) is available, the simulations also show that the Mean Square Error (MSE) decreases as PLE value increases with the proposed localization algorithm.
