Medical Performance Analysis in a Third-Grade Class-A Hospital in Hu'nan Area

Objective: To compare DRG-related indicators of research hospital between 2013 and 2014, to evaluate its performance improvement through hospitalization. Methods: Analyzing patients discharged from the hospital using case-mix index (CMI), time efficiency index, cost efficiency index and other indicators according to BJ-DRG(2015 Edition) grouping packet mode. Results & Conclusion: The research hospital's DRGs number improved form 793(2013) to 805(2014), CMI improved from 1.10(2013) to 1.14 (2014), time efficiency index fell from 1.13(2013) to 1.09(2014), cost efficiency index had no change, mortality rate of low-risk group fell from 0.02%(2013) to 0.01%(2014).
