Whipple Disease Misdiagnosed as Lymphoma by 18F-FDG PET/CT: A Case Study

摘要

Whipple disease is a rare disorder caused by infection with the gram-positive bacterium Tropheryma whipplei. It can invade various organs and systems of the whole body. This case report describes a patient with invasion of multiple lymph nodes throughout the body misdiagnosed as lymphoma by PET/CT.
