摘要
This paper aims to investigate the relationships among buyer-supplier interaction (BSI), innovation ambidexterity, and business performance. It postulates that BSI contributes to innovation ambidexterity that serves to benefit business performance. Building on organisational information processing theory, this study clarifies boundary conditions in terms of governance mechanisms. The SPSS version of PROCESS was employed to test hypotheses using ordinary least squares regression based on survey data collected from 184 Hong Kong manufacturing firms. The results show that innovation ambidexterity mediates the relationship between BSI and business performance. Furthermore, the indirect relationship is strengthened by the interplay of contracts and trust in its first stage.
