摘要

. This study was designed to investigate the effecst of famciclovir combined with compound beta-methasone injection on the quality of life and treatment efficiency of middle-aged and elderly patients with herpes zoster. 72 middle-aged and elderly patients with herpes zoster were randomly divided into two groups as control group and research group. The control group was treated with famciclovir while the research group was treated with compound betamethasone along famciclovir. The time of symptom improvement, clinical efficacy, the incidence of adverse reactions, incidence of sequela neuralgia, pain before and after treatment, sleep, C-reactive protein level, and quality of life of the two groups were observed. The time of pain stop, scab formation, and no new rash in the study group was shorter than those in the control group (P). The total effective rate of the study group (94.44%) was higher than that of the control group (72.23%) (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions (11.12%) and sequela neuralgia (16.67%) in the study group were lower than control group (25.00%) and (50.00%) (p < 0.05); After treatment, the QS score, VAS score and CRP level in the study group were lower than control group (P<0.05); After treatment, the scores of physical function, cog-nitive function, social function and emotional function in the study group were higher than control group (p < 0.05). The combination of compound betamethasone and famciclovir in the treatment of middle-aged and elderly herpes zoster has an ideal effect, which can effectively reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, the probability of sequela neuralgia and the degree of pain in patients.
