Monomial characters and the index of the Fitting subgroup of a solvable group

In this paper, we strengthen a result of Moreto and Wolf on the divisibility of the degree of a product of irreducible characters by the index of the Fitting subgroup in a solvable group. We also strengthen some results about Gluck's conjecture to monomial characters.
