Objetive To investigate the clinical efficacy of the dry eye treated by the pranoprofen eye drops combined with the 0.1% sodium hyaluronate eye drops.Methods A total of 235 dry eyes patients (280 eyes),from the ophthalmology clinic outpatient department in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between July 2014 to June 2015,were randomly divided into combination group (142 eyes)and simple group (138 eyes).All patients met the inclusion criteria.The combination group was treated by pranoprofen drops combined with 1% sodium hyaluronate eye drops,and the simple group trea-ted by 1% sodium hyaluronate eye drops.The Standard Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness (SPEED)ques-tionnaire were carried out before and after medication.The tear film breakup time (BUT),corneal fluores-cence staining (FLS)score and Schirmer I test were performed in all patients.The results of the two groups were compared.Results After the medication,both the self-conscious symptom and clinical symp-toms were better than those before the medication.The difference of Standard Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness (SPEED)questionnaire between the combination group and the simple group had statistical signif-icance after medication (t =2.25 P =0.03),The BUT was longer in the combination group compared with the simple group after treatment (t =3.00 P =0.00).The corneal fluorescence staining score was signifi-cantly lower in the combination group compared with the simple group after treatment (t =3.58 P =0.00). In addition,The difference of Sehirmer I test score between the two groups has no statistical significance after medication (t =0.87 P =0.16> 0,05).Conclusion The combination of pranoprofen dry drops with 0. 1% sodium hyaluronate eye drops had good effect on treatment to dry eye,which was better than the effect of pure 0.1% sodium hyaluronate eye drops.
