摘要
This paper is concerned with the extension of the factorization method to the inverse elastic scattering problem by a mixed scatterer which is the union of a penetrable obstacle and an impenetrable object. Having established the well-posedness of the direct problem by the boundary integral equation method, we study the factorization method to reconstruct the shape of the mixed obstacle, that is, recovering the shape of the mixed scatterer from a knowledge of the far-field pattern at a fixed frequency. Some numerical examples are also presented to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the factorization method.
