摘要

Research on aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) has caused tremendous research enthusiasms among scientists worldwide because they can realize strong solid-state luminescence to meet real-world applications. It is crucial to develop AIEgens with different structures to access different functionalities. Recently, a series of pyrazine-based prototype AIEgens are developed which include the distinctive features of convenient synthesis and post-modification, good stability, tunable molecular excited-state motion, electronic structure and geometry, and rich N functional binding sites. They exhibit the university to design photoelectronic, sensing, imaging, therapy, self-assembling, porous, chiral and polymer materials, etc. This review will summarize the uniqueness of this kind of AIEgens and their advance in mechanism study, molecular design and application development. With this review, more attentions will be inclined to study pyrazine-based AIEgens and more sparks will be motivated to develop new luminescent functional materials.
