摘要

TiC-Cr7C3-CNTs cermet coating on 304 stainless steel substrate was prepared using a newly developed in situ technology consisting of self-propagation high-temperature synthesis reaction, laser cladding and metal dusting techniques. The samples were subjected to various microstructure examinations and their corrosion behaviour was compared with that of 304SS in 1 mol L-1HCl solution. The results showed that high quality of the coating was obtained. Many reinforcements were more or less uniformly distributed within the grain and grain boundary in the microstructure. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were obviously observed, but the length of CNTs was shorter after laser cladding. Compared with the 304SS substrate, the coating has no pitting and maintained a low corrosion rate in 1 mol L-1HCl solution.
