摘要

Additive manufacturing (selective laser melting - SLM) was used to fabricate nearly dense Cu-based alloy from pre-alloyed (PA) and mechanically mixed (MA) powders to compare the feasibility of using powder mixtures for additive manufacturing. The SLM fabricated samples show similar microstructural features for both PA and MA powders. However, the bulk samples from MA powder show a heterogeneous distribution of Ni, leading to decreased hardness compared to samples from PA powder. Samples from both PA and MA powder show the non-uniform distribution of hardness, suggesting that MA powder can be used as raw material for the SLM process.
