Purpose/Significance] Terrorism database construction is an important way to deal with the growing threat of terrorism, the United States Global Terrorism Database ( GTD) is the worldˊs most comprehensive and sophisticated terrorism database. Research and learning of GTD is of great significance for China in the construction of related fields and the fight against terrorism. [ Method/Process] By studying the US Global Terrorism Database, the research analyzes its definitions and standards, combs its text encoding and digital strategy, integrated approach to data retrieval and editing platform, thus to grasp the global trends and characteristics of terrorism database construction. [Results/Conclusions]In the course of interest expansion to other areas around the globe for China and to achieve the desired implementation effect for its great strategy of"One belt, one road", the construction of Chinaˊs anti-terrorism database is an increasingly urgent task, and the GTD has a certain reference value.
