The direct and inverse scattering problems for penetrable and impenetrable mixed obstacles

摘要

In this paper, we consider the direct and inverse scattering problem for a mixed obstacle which is a combination of a penetrable obstacle and an impenetrable obstacle. Our main focus is to show that the factorization method can be applied to recover the shape of the mixed obstacle from far-field data. Some numerical simulations are also presented to justify the feasibility and effectiveness of the factorization method at the end of the paper.
