On the Degradation Behavior and Osteogenic Differentiation of PLGA/ICA/Ca-P Hybrid Coating on Pure Mg

摘要

In this study, the PLGA/ICA/Ca-P hybrid coating was fabricated on pure Mg to enhance corrosion resistance and osteogenic differentiation for pure Mg. The results showed that doping PLGA on the Ca-P pretreatment coating on the pure Mg could improve the defects (micropores and cracks) of the Ca-P pretreatment coating, as a result of the better corrosion resistance compared with the pure Mg and Ca-P coating. More importantly, the in vitro results of MTT and quantitative PCR analysis suggested that icariin addition on the PLGA/Ca-P hybrid coating could promote the osteogenic-related gene expression with respect to the other groups.
