摘要
Traditional wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) is easy to cause epitaxial growth of columnar grains along the building direction, which limits its further development in engineering applications. In this paper, the Inconel 625 alloy was fabricated by ultrasonic - assisted wire arc additive manufacturing (UAAM), and the effect of ultrasonic on the microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated. The results show that the ultrasonic wave effectively refines the grains and promotes the increase of mechanical properties. After applying ultrasonic assistance, the average ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of the samples increased from 650.54 MPa to 797.09 MPa, and the elongation decreased from 82.05% to 66.14%. Due to the decrease in elongation, the strain hardening exponent of the UAAM samples decreased by 19.72% compared with the AM samples.
