摘要
In the field of organic semiconductors, molecular planarity is widely recognized as a critical requirement for facilitating efficient intermolecular charge transport (CT) and achieving high film mobility. In contrast, here, we demonstrate that the large aromatic side moieties modified on IDT (indaceno-[1,2-b:5,6-b']-dithiophene), which are not conducive to the molecular planarity and thus to the intermolecular CT between two IDT molecules, yet enhance the film mobility by creating more efficient intramolecular CT channels, as evidenced by theoretical simulations. The work implies the possibility of utilizing the intramolecular CT to enhance film mobility.
