Two-phase solvothermal preparation of Co3O4/GO compound materials as catalysts for photocatalytic water oxidation

摘要

Zero-dimensional/two-dimensional (0D/2D) Co3O4/GO composites with good visible light response were successfully prepared by adding a certain amount of GO to the nano Co3O4 synthesized by two-phase solvothermal method. The results show that the photocatalytic water oxidation performance of the synthesized Co3O4/Go is higher than that of pure Co3O4. The turnover frequency (TOF) of Co3O4/GO (15%) is 1.62 x 10(-2)s(-1) per metal atom, and the initial quantum yield is 25.12%. The improvement of photocatalytic water oxidation activity and stability of Co3O4/Go were attributed to the enhancement of effective electron transport, which helps to reduce photoelectric recombination rate. The application of 0D/2D composites in the field of photocatalysis is expanded.
