Based on data collection and review of the literature,the paper analyzes and summarizes the forming process and the semantic evolution of the popular word “猴赛雷”deeply.“猴赛雷”generated by the harmonics method. The new word not only absorbed the Guangdong dialect,but also put the“Zodiac”into it. It's a word which full of the sense of Monkey. The evolution of it's semantic features is ongoing,meaning more and core semantic gradually strengthen. “猴赛雷”creates a relaxed atmosphere of humorous speech. At the same time,with strong productivity,It derived a series of calque. Under the effect of the psychological demands and language analogy mechanism,“猴赛雷”is becoming more and more popular.
