Summary

(D2D) communication is a promising technique to improve the spectral efficiency of cellular networks, by means of reusing the spectrum resource of cellular users (CUEs), but it also causes interference control and resource allocation problems. To address this problem, in this paper, we propose an interference management and resource allocation algorithm for D2D communication in heterogeneous networks, with the objective of maximising the sum throughput of the CUEs and the D2D users (DUEs). Firstly, according to the principle of interference minimisation, DUEs are grouped based on fuzzy clustering algorithm. Secondly, the channel allocation problem is modelled as an iterative combinatorial auction process. Under the premise of ensuring the quality of service (QoS) for both CUEs and DUEs, then allocate the channel to DUEs with the largest multiplexing throughput. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm can significantly improve the system performance.
