New nornemoralisin and nemoralisin diterpenoids from Aphanamixis polystachya

Summary

One new nornemoralisin (1) and two new nemoralisin (2 and 3) diterpenoids, along with one known analogue (4), were isolated from the stems and leaves of Aphanamixis polystachya. Compound 1 represents the first example of an acyclic diterpenoid featuring a unique 18-nornemoralisin skeleton, and the structures of these new compounds were established mainly by NMR and MS methods. The antifungal activities of compounds 1-3 applied alone or in combination with fluconazole against drug-resistant Candida albicans were investigated.
