摘要

In this paper, a compact K-band transmitter is designed with discrete components for anti-collision radar system. The transmitter consists of a VCO, power divider and micro-strip antenna array. To improve phase noise performance of the VCO, a miniaturized hairpin shaped stepped impedance resonator (SIR) is used instead of conventional resonator. The parallel feedback structure VCO is designed to operate at 24.14 GHz. The simulation results show that the proposed VCO provides a high output power of 12.5 dBm. The phase noise is -90 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset. The proposed micro-strip antenna array consists of 14x6 elements. The simulation results show that the antenna has a gain of 26.5dB, the -10dB bandwidth is 1GHz from 23.6GHz to 24.6GHz. The calculated effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) of this transmitter is about 36 dBm.
