Summary
Li2ZnTi3O8 (LZT) ceramics with different amounts of Si3N4 addition were prepared using a traditional solid-state reaction method. The phase structure, sintering behavior, microwave dielectric properties and bending strength of ceramics were studied. Si3N4-doped LZT ceramics had a cubic spinel structure, indicating that a small amount of Si3N4 addition did not undergo the phase transformation of the ceramics. The addition of Si3N4 particles could improve the bending strength and adjust the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (zf) value of the LZT ceramics. In particular, the LZT ceramics doped with 0.7 wt% Si3N4 sintered at 1025 degrees C displayed the excellent properties with a bending strength of 202 MPa, an er of 21.6, a Qxf of 45457 GHz, and a zf of-4.97 ppm/degrees C.
