摘要

During the past few years, the construction of BODIPY-based supramolecular fluorescent metallacages through coordination-driven self-assembly has gained increasing interest due to their unique photophys-ical properties and applications in catalysis, sensing, and bioimaging. In consideration of the rapid devel-opment of this field, it is time to summarize recent developments involving BODIPY-based metallacages.
